Dr Wohlfahrt has been a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist since 2019 and has worked in locations such as Townsville, London and now Newcastle. She has clinical experience in adult and paediatric anaesthesia with special interest in perioperative medicine, trauma management, shared airway surgery and welfare in anaesthesia.
Dr. Wohlfahrt completed a fellowship in Medical Simulation at the John Hunter Hospital in 2018. She then moved to London and completed a fellowship in Airway Anaesthesia at St George’s Hospital. In 2020, the covid pandemic hit the UK and Dr. Wohlfahrt used her experience in simulation to develop help intubation checklists and training for the COVID intubation teams at St. George’s Hospital.
She is presently enjoying part time Anaesthetic practice at the John Hunter Hospital whilst she broadens her private practice.

Outside of work, Dr Wohlfahrt enjoys singing in women’s choir, playing piano, bushwalking, and going to the beach with her young children.
