Dr Conrad is a specialist anaesthetist based in the Newcastle area with a particular interest in regional anaesthesia and the instruction of junior doctors training to become anaesthetists. 

Having grown up on a farm in Canada, Dr Conrad moved to Australia many years ago and subsequently graduated from the University of Sydney Medical Program with honours.

In addition to his specialist training in anaesthesia, Dr Conrad has also completed subspecialty advanced training in regional anaesthesia, thus affording his patients the option of nerve blocks which offer a degree of post-operative pain control that is far superior to alternative methods. 

In addition to an appointment as a staff specialist anaesthetist with Hunter New England Health, Dr Conrad is active at several private hospitals in the Newcastle and Maitland area with the aim of providing the best possible care for both adults and children. 

Outside of work, Dr Conrad’s priority is his family including his lovely wife and being the best Dad possible.

The beach, gardening and great coffee are some of Dr Conrad’s personal interests.
